Carlos Silva Lopes is the Global Director of Marketing Excellence for Packaging & Specialty Plastics. An experienced and accomplished global business leader, Carlos is a results driven and hands-on sales and marketing professional, who focuses on stretching the business above and beyond. His passion is to use his creativity and diverse experience to translate market trends into tangible and valuable business results.Carlos joined Dow Portugal in 1990. In 1995, he transferred to Johannesburg, South Africa, as market development manager. He was appointed as EMEA marketing manager and held several roles of increasing responsibility, focusing on new business development and product management. Most recently he has served as the global marketing director for Dow Consumer & Industrial Solutions and Director of Marketing for Packaging and Specialty Plastics EMEA, based in Horgen, Switzerland. Carlos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ISEL in Lisbon, Portugal. He completed the Advanced Industrial Marketing Strategies course at INSEAD, France and received his MBA from IMD in Switzerland.
